MSIV Convenes North Bay NEXT
The North Bay’s inaugural startup conference was held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 - nearly 300 local leaders participated and turned out to elevate the startup community across Marin + Sonoma.
Keynotes, Fireside Chats, and Conversations
May 17th was a banner day for the North Bay’s growing startup community. So many of our community’s entrepreneurial legends shared their wisdom with us via Keynotes, Conversations, and Fireside Chats. We heard stories of their startup journeys - their successes, the tumultuous times, and the attitudes and mindset that got them through.
NEXT’s agenda (see full day’s agenda here) was crafted for participants to learn from some of the most successful North Bay entrepreneurs, get up to speed on our community’s underappreciated startup history, and participate in shaping the future.
Small Group Topic Lunches and Networking
An intentional priority of the NEXT conference was to facilitate networking amongst the North Bay Startup community. The extended breaks, conference page on LinkedIn, and the small group topic lunches fostered collaboration and productive introductions.
North Bay Startup Showcase
Eleven founders of some of the most innovative early-stage startups in the North Bay introduced their company to the larger community in energetic 5-minute presentations. The showcase presenters represent the incredible diversity of industries and founders thriving in Marin + Sonoma and the vast potential for economic development in the future.
The Celebration of Community
The attendees of NEXT finished off the day-long agenda with a reception on Dominican University of California’s beautiful Meadowlands Lawn. Participants enjoyed beverages from North Bay startups including Biotic Brands, Maker Wine, St. Hildie’s, Folksy and Free Spirits.
