MSIV Hosting Career Lecture

Marin Sonoma Impact Ventures is excited today to announce that it will host its first ever Career Lecture for College Students on Thursday, July 25 in San Rafael.
MSIV is partnering with Adam Elegant from Baker Street Advisors (Adam previously worked at Goldman Sachs and KKR for 20 years) to deliver this talk for Marin + Sonoma college students and national college students home for the summer on navigating their job search in finance and startups.
For the past 15 years, Adam has presented "Navigating the Job Search" to undergraduate and graduate students at various schools around the country, including Washington University (St. Louis), Yale, Pitzer, University of Colorado and others. He has weaved together an interactive collection of real-life interview questions, stories, advice, quotes, coaching and friendly role plays that help students prepare and increase their comfort level. Adam's presentation reinforces what it takes to successfully navigate the job search and students leave the session with confidence, knowledge and a plan for a positive outcome.
After Adam’s lecture and subsequent Q&A session, MSIV Founder Zachary Kushel & JoeyCo Founder & CEO Alison Donnally will sit down for a wide-ranging panel discussion on their career journeys. Zach’s career has taken him from Wall Street to Washington, DC to Silicon Valley to now leading the building of a North Bay startup community. Alison parlayed investment banking and sports internships to jobs with the NFL, Kaiser Permanente, and Amazon before transitioning into entrepreneurship with the founding of JoeyCo.

Navigating it reasonably well, he secured offers and worked for over 20 years at Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Baker Street Advisors. He survived 24 interviews at Goldman, 30 interviews at KKR and 10 interviews at Baker Street (boutique independent investment advisory firm / multi-family office where Adam is a Partner today).
