MSIV Co-Hosts Marin Startup Focus Group

The Marin Economic Forum invited MSIV community members to help inform new Marin county plan.

In June 2021, MSIV Community Partner the Marin Economic Forum (MEF) announced the receipt of a federal grant, obtained by MEF with the backing of the County of Marin, to create Marin county’s first ever economic development strategy.

The grant is now funding production of a Marin County “Economic Vitality Strategic Plan,” and work is underway to formulate this plan, a draft of which is targeted for release in the first half of 2022.

MEF is hosting a multitude of focus groups from key stakeholders from around the community as part of this effort, and MSIV was excited to bring input from local startup founders and our extended entrepreneurial community to this startup-specific session to ensure that the county’s future approach fosters deeper support for startup companies that wish to grow their presence in Marin.
