Marin Approves First Economic Plan

On August 23, the Marin County Board of Supervisors approved the county’s first ever “Economic Vitality Strategic Plan.”

MSIV was pleased to provide key inputs to the plan as the Marin Economic Forum (MEF) convened a multitude of focus groups from stakeholders from around the community. MSIV brought input from local startup founders and our extended entrepreneurial community to a startup-specific session to ensure that the county’s future approach fosters deeper support for startup companies that wish to grow their presence in and create jobs in Marin.

The new plan includes five flagship initiatives, including Flagship Initiative #2: Catalyze Growth of Marin’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. MSIV was named as a key stakeholder in bringing this initiative to reality, and we look forward to playing a critical role in the future of Marin’s economic development.
